Hmmm, I have a guess, Because it isn't!
The stories below are just from today folks! Just today!
Female suicide bomber kills 9 in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A female suicide bomber detonated explosives outside a courthouse Wednesday in central Baquba, killing nine people, the Interior Ministry said. Among the victims were five soldiers and a police officer, a ministry official said. The blast wounded 17 others.
The official said the woman, covered in a traditional black garment known as an abaya, blew herself up near a security checkpoint outside the courthouse.
Bomb kills senior Iraqi lawmaker
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A roadside bomb explosion in the Iraqi capital has killed a senior member of the Sadr Movement's influential parliamentary bloc, a party official told CNN Thursday. "We hold the occupation forces responsible for the assassination of Saleh al-Ageili because they are the ones who are in charge of the security control in the capital," Sadr Movement official Abdul-Mahdi al-Mutayri told CNN.
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has ordered top government and military officials to lead the investigation "to determine the circumstances behind the terrorist operation that targeted the destabilization of security and the stability."
And of course, we've helped Pakistan become a stabile Democratic country:
Pakistan suicide bombing
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- A Pakistani suicide bomber convinced security-gate guards at Islamabad police headquarters that he was delivering candy before detonating his explosives Thursday, killing himself and injuring 17 others, a police official told CNN. The guards believed the story and allowed the attacker through the security gate. The attacker drove up a row of buildings before detonating his explosives outside the officers' residences.
Police official Mahmood Solaiman said that once allowed in, the attacker drove up outside the officers' residences before detonating his explosives. The force of the blast crumbled one side of the three-story barracks, with the victims from both inside and outside the building, Solaiman added.
The explosion occurred about six miles (10 km) from Pakistan's parliament building, where military officials were briefing lawmakers about the deteriorating security situation in the country and the ongoing military offensive to flush out extremists in the country's tribal regions.
McCain doesn't want to leave Iraq without a victory. I've never heard anyone ask him, "Just what exactly defines a victory in Iraq?" I mean, is it our leaving Iraq with a stable government capable of protecting its own sovereignty? Does it mean defeating terrorists...uh, world wide? Neither one is going to happen in our lifetimes, I'm afraid to say.
And now we'll need to escalate into Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Republicans are sending our brothers, sisters, son, daughters, fathers and mothers over to Iraq to die for an undefined and ill-conceived war. How do we know when this war is over?, I ask.
